Morocco is the gateway to Saharan Africa. An exotic land with a unique mix of Arabic, French and Berber cultures that can be traced back to the country’s colonial past and its geographical location on the north-western tip of Africa. It is one of the safest countries on the continent and Moroccans are friendly and hospitable towards tourists.

Along with its cultural diversity, Morocco is also known for its cuisine, art and ever-changing landscapes, making it an exciting country for a road trip. Morocco first appeared on MotoRover’s tour calendar in 2019 and we have already completed seven successful road trips in the country with over 100 travellers!

The 2024 edition of our Road Trip is a comprehensive 12 day journey starting and ending in the biggest city of Morocco, Casablanca, and it covers every important sight and experience the country has to offer. The entire driving route is on paved roads and we are offering you Toyota Prado SUVs with automatic transmission for self-drive. A MotoRover tour manager and a local guide will lead the road trip from a car in the front. The lead car will be followed by participant cars and the convoy will be closed by a support car that has a mechanic and a helper.

Contrary to the stereotype, Morocco is not just about the Sahara desert. Our route offers a good mix of terrain and landscapes as it covers the High Atlas, Middle Atlas and the Riff mountains, the Sahara desert and the Mediterranean coast of Morocco. The drive is enjoyable for amateurs as well as experienced drivers and the daily driving distance has been calculated to provide you ample breaks and photo opportunities. Apart from the drive, we also have plenty of sightseeing and activities for the non-driving participants.

Group size will be limited to 20 participants and every participant group gets their own car. Along with the drive and the activities, the tour package also includes airport pickup/drop in Casabalnca, all meals (veg/non-veg) and the accommodation will be in boutique hotels, riads and luxury tent camps in the Sahara!
